. . . Apologises for ‘moment of madness’
ZIM DANCEHALL chanter, Jah Child who grabbed headlines for snatching and disappearing with the main trophy at the ‘aborted’ Ghetto vs Ghetto clash held last weekend, has been arrested.
The 17-year-old was nabbed on Monday night when event organisers lodged a complaint with Matapi police who then referred them to Harare Exhibition Park Police base where the offence was committed.
When H-Metro visited the Mbare bred chanter at the police base, a docket was being compiled and it could not be ascertained which charge he was likely to face.
The remorseful chanter apologised for the moment of madness, exonerating event organiser Barbara Chikosi of Red Rose Entertainment of any wrong doing.
“Mama havana problem, inini namhamha hatina kana dhiri ratakaita. Sorry to Mama Red Rose for what I did, may you please forgive me.
“Vese vanoti Mama Red Rose ifake promoter, it’s not real,” he said, clearing air amid claims Jah Child might have connived with event organisers to pull the stunt.
He also apologised to fans.
