Following the recent increase in the price of bread to $2.60, bakers have now reduced the price of bread to $1.90. This follows government intervention after a public outcry when the price of bread went up from $1.40 to $2.60 last week. However, the availability of bread is still a major issue as supply is still very limited.
Industry and Commerce Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu said,
